Seeking God together through prayer, faith, and dependence upon Him.
Prayer is at the heart of our relationship with God and our life together as His people.
At Lai Baptist Church, we believe prayer is not simply a church activity. Prayer is our response to God's grace, our dependence upon His wisdom, and our opportunity to bring our needs, families, church, community, and the world before Him.
Prayer shapes our relationship with God and strengthens us to serve others faithfully.
We pray because God is worthy of our worship, praise, thanksgiving, and devotion.
Prayer reminds us that we depend upon God rather than trusting only in ourselves.
We bring the needs of our families, church, community, and world before the Lord.
Through prayer we trust God's character, wisdom, timing, and promises.
Christian prayer is both personal and communal. We pray privately, but we also gather together as the body of Christ to seek God's will and encourage one another.
As a church family, we desire to cultivate a culture where prayer is a natural and faithful part of worship, discipleship, ministry, and everyday Christian life.
In times of joy, we give thanks. In times of difficulty, we seek God's strength. When we need wisdom, we ask Him for guidance. When others are hurting, we intercede for them.
If you have a prayer request, we would be honored to pray with you.
You may share your prayer request with our church family through:

“Pray without ceasing.”
