Serving our local community and sharing the hope of Jesus Christ through compassion, prayer, service, and Gospel witness.
Mission begins with loving the people God has placed around us.
Lai Baptist Church desires to be a faithful witness of Jesus Christ in our local community. We seek opportunities to serve people with compassion, build meaningful relationships, respond to practical needs, and share the hope of the Gospel.
Local missions bring together Christian faith, practical service, compassion, and Gospel witness.
We seek to recognize people who are experiencing hardship and respond with genuine care, dignity, and kindness.
We desire to serve our neighbors in practical ways and become a blessing to individuals, families, and our community.
We believe prayer is essential to mission, asking God for wisdom, compassion, opportunities, and transformed lives.
We seek opportunities to communicate the good news of Jesus Christ with humility, love, clarity, and faithfulness.
We desire to build genuine relationships that allow us to listen, encourage, serve, and walk alongside people.
Local missions are an opportunity for the whole church family to use their gifts and serve together for God's glory.
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”Acts 1:8
Jesus calls His followers to be His witnesses. Local mission gives us opportunities to live out that calling in the places where God has placed us.
We want our service to reflect the character of Christ—humble, compassionate, generous, truthful, and willing to serve others.
We desire to respond faithfully to the needs and opportunities God places before our church.
We seek opportunities to encourage families, strengthen relationships, and offer practical care during difficult seasons.
We desire to respond compassionately to people experiencing poverty, homelessness, loneliness, or other difficult circumstances.
We value opportunities to encourage children and youth and help them grow in faith, character, and hope.
We seek to develop meaningful relationships with people and organizations in our community as opportunities for service arise.
This space will eventually feature real photographs, stories, and updates from the local mission work of Lai Baptist Church.
We look forward to sharing stories of God's faithfulness and the ways our church family is serving our local community.
